35 And some of [a]those who have insight will fall, in order to (A)refine, (B)purge, and make them [b](C)pure until the time of the (D)end, because it is still to come at the appointed time.

36 “Then the king will (E)do as he pleases, and he will exalt and (F)magnify himself above every god and will (G)speak [c]astonishing things against the (H)God of gods; and he will succeed until the (I)indignation is finished, for that which is (J)decreed will be done. 37 He will show no regard for the [d]gods of his fathers or for the desire of women, nor will he show regard for any other god; for he will magnify himself above them all.
